Hugh Beach is a researcher and associate professor in the Department of Cultural Anthropology and Ethnology, Uppsala University, Sweden.  His current researches are primarily Sami reindeer herding especially in Sweden but also on the Kola Peninsula.  Beach has also aimed his research at herding in Alaska, northern China and Russia.  These pictures are taken in a Sami community  in Norway.
